Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today the signing of goaltender Curtis Sanford to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2009-2010 season.
Sanford, 29, competed in 35 games over the past two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks compiling a record of 11-11-1 along with a 2.69 goals-against average a .903 save percentage and one shutout.

The Syracuse Crunch announced today that former goaltender Karl Goehring has been named the club’s assistant coach. He will join head coach Ross Yates and assistant coach Trent Cull behind the Crunch bench.

Worcester Sharks general manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the team has signed forward T.J. Trevelyan to a one-year American Hockey League contract.

The Chicago Blackhawks, parent club of the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs, have signed center Mark Cullen to a one-year contact.
