Sharks acquire Rahimi, White from Vancouver

The San Jose Sharks, parent club of the AHL’s Worcester Sharks, announced Friday that the team has acquired center Patrick White and defenseman Daniel Rahimi from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for defensemen Christian Ehrhoff and Brad Lukowich.

The Carolina Hurricanes, parent club of the AHL’s Albany River Rats, have acquired center Rob Hennigar from the New York Islanders, parent club of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, in exchange for center Bobby Hughes, pending a physical.

Oilers re-sign Smid, Brule and Stone

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the AHL’s Springfield Falcons, have agreed to terms with defenseman Ladislav Smid on a two-year contract, and with forwards Gilbert Brule and Ryan Stone on one-year, two-way deals.

AHL All-Rookie goaltender Lawson signs with Isles

  The New York Islanders, parent club of the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announced Thursday that they have agreed to terms with goaltender Nathan Lawson.
