SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League announced today that Grand Rapids Griffins right wing Francis Pare has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Dec. 13, 2009. Pare recorded three goals, three assists and a plus-8 rating in four games last week.

Manitoba completed a quick march through the North Division Finals on Wednesday with a 3-2 road win over Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena.
Mark Cullen tallied a goal and an assist on the power play for the Moose, who swept the Griffins and advance to take on either Houston or Milwaukee in the Western Conference Finals. The Aeros currently hold a 2-1 lead in the West Division Finals series.

Howard stopped 67 of 69 shots in two appearances, going 2-0-0 with a 0.94 goals-against average and a .971 save percentage for the Griffins last week.
