The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have re-signed left wing Radek Smolenak to a one-year contact today, Lightning executive vice president and general manager Brian Lawton announced.

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the AHL’s Springfield Falcons, have agreed to terms with defenseman Ladislav Smid on a two-year contract, and with forwards Gilbert Brule and Ryan Stone on one-year, two-way deals.

Senators sign goaltender Chiodo

  The Ottawa Senators, parent club of the AHL’s Binghamton Senators, announced today they have signed free-agent goaltender Andy Chiodo to a one-year, two-way contract.
