Worcester struck for five goals in the first period and cruised to a 10-3 preseason win over Hartford on Sunday at the International Skating Center in Simsbury, Conn.

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has signed defenseman Brent Henley to an American Hockey League contract.
Henley, 28, stands 6-7 and weighs 250 pounds, and is entering his ninth year in the pro ranks. The Coquitlam, B.C. native spent most of the 2008-09 season in the AHL with the Norfolk Admirals.
